Siren - Deeper (Shadow Song)
Deeper is a stunning computer animated video that debuted in 2007 at the Animae Caribe animation and new-media festival in Trinidad. It took home the award for Most Oustanding Animation, and it deserves it.
The words of Siren: "I wanted this video to really make the viewer ponder the course of human evolution. In today's society where videos and music focus mainly on sex, getting sex, having sex and more sex, the premise of Love is being left out. It makes me wonder...are we being programmed to lose our capacity to feel?"
Siren is the alter ego of Corretta Sing, a Jamaican artist who splits her time between computer animation (of which she has no formal training) and singing. She uses this video to question machine emotions, and the direction Humanity is taking if machines are able to feel emotions more than our media-numbed hearts.
You can learn more about Corretta at her website, where she shows of some solid cyberpunk sensibilities.
As for the video, enjoy the kinky robot love.
