Allied Vision - Coaxial Hardware
Allied Vision is an Industrial band from Bilbao, Spain. Rod Chong, who most famously directed Marilyn Manson's Get Your Gunn music video directed this little piece of cinema that plays out like a chaotic infomercial. The video advertises a fictional personal defense system, a cybernetic "skin" that coats your body so that you can launch missiles while out jogging. Imagine a cybernetic Witchblade and you wouldn't be far from the mark.
The video houses a neat concept, it looks kind of pretty but ultimately falls short on execution. Chong overlays a lot of visual noise that gets in the way of the imagery. It is meant to add "industrial" texture but just comes across as annoying as you strain to see the details in the video. The band is barely shown at all and the character wearing the cybernetic suit isn't shown so much as teased.
Basically, great concept, poor execution. But see for yourself.
